Helendale School District is committed to supporting safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environments for all students. In alignment with California Senate Bill 939, we are providing families, students, staff, and community members with access to statewide bullying prevention and response resources for students who identify or are perceived as neurodivergent.
Neurodivergent students may include students with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, learning differences, attention differences, communication differences, sensory processing differences, or other ways of learning and experiencing the world. These resources are intended to help strengthen awareness, prevention, reporting, and response when students experience bullying, harassment, intimidation, discrimination, or exclusion.
The UC|CSU Collaborative has developed a free resource called Standing Together to support educators, families, and students. This toolkit provides information and guidance to help school communities better understand neurodiversity, prevent bullying, and respond with care when concerns arise.
