Helendale School District

Matthew Berryman joins our district as the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources, bringing 25 years of extensive experience in education. His journey began as a teacher supporting students inside the classroom as well as outside as Volleyball Coach and advisor for clubs such as FBLA, Senior Senate and many others. He has also held various administrative roles including Vice Principal, Assistant Principal and Principal. This diverse background gives him a strong understanding of educational roles in his desire to support school communities, staff and most importantly, our students. 

 

Matthew is dedicated to serving our community and believes in fostering an environment where everyone can thrive. When he's not working, he enjoys spending time outdoors, with hobbies that include golfing, camping, and fishing. He and his wife have six children, ranging in age from 19 to 26, who are at various stages of their lives, from college and military service to post-graduation.
