We had over 100 community members participate in these important meetings. The feedback we received has led to the adoption of Board Goals which will now drive the decisions that we make in the future. Those board goals are... 1. The District will be a source of pride to the Helendale Community through its actions and its effective communication. 2. The District will always act to maintain fiscal solvency in order to ensure the greatest learning opportunities for every child. 3. The District will build and maintain educational and extra-curricular programs that enrich every student’s learning experiences. 4. The District will use technology as a tool to enhance and engage student learning. 5. The District will ensure that its academic program allows every child to reach their learning potential. 6. The District will provide operationally effective support systems in order to provide the highest quality learning environment for all students. 7. The District will teach, encourage, and expect positive student behavior and a safe and orderly school environment in order to promote effective teaching and maximize learning.

Welcome to Helendale School District!Helendale School District is a K-8 School District serving the community of Helendale and the Home Owners Association community of Silver Lakes in the high desert of Southern California. We are specifically located 14 miles north of Victorville and 15 miles south of Barstow on Historic California Route 66.Our district serves approximately 750 students at our three schools (Helendale Elementary, Riverview Middle, and ACE Charter). We take great pride in offering a quality education in a small and safe school setting. Our teachers and staff care greatly about our students and our students take great pride in excelling academically. Helendale Elementay offers an excellent foundation for learning for our 450 children who attend as is evident by our 813 API. Riverview Middle School continues that excellent tradition with an API of 796 while providing our 7th and 8th grade students a full middle school curriculum, electives and sports on our beautiful new secondary school campus.Our Academy of Careers and Exploration (ACE) Charter School is an in seat and independent study dependent charter school that provides a 9-12 traditional high school setting as well as a K-12 independent study program. ACE provides our 180 high school students broad opportunities in learning (763 API), leadership, and athletics on a campus that is open, well maintained, and safe.
