Steve Smith serves as Principal of Helendale Elementary School, bringing nearly three decades of experience in education to the Helendale community. With 29 years in education, including 15 years of administrative leadership spanning grades K–12, Mr. Smith brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his role.

Throughout his career, Mr. Smith has maintained a strong focus on student achievement, staff collaboration, and building positive school cultures where students and employees can thrive. At Helendale Elementary, he is committed to supporting students, staff, and families while building upon the school’s successes and creating meaningful opportunities for every student.

Kirsti Lesseg serves as the School Administrative Manager at Helendale Elementary School and is an important part of the school’s leadership team. Her role supports many of the day-to-day operations that help create a safe, positive, and well-supported learning environment for students and staff.

Mrs. Lesseg’s responsibilities include supporting student behavior and positive school culture, classified staff, campus maintenance and facilities, school budgeting, and other operational needs. Her work helps connect the many people and resources required to keep Helendale Elementary running effectively, allowing teachers and staff to remain focused on providing students with an outstanding educational experience.
